Get on the air with URN! Daytime presenting could be for you! Make loads of new friends, have a laugh, and present entertaining radio in state of the art studios, with a regularly updated playlist of music. Complete novices welcome, all training provided. Daytime presenters are on air everyday from 10am - 5pm. We also present during the weekends and at a whole host of university events throughout the year. Our schedule will provide you with a platform to get creative! Devise and present your own shows, combining great chat, features, song requests and prize-giveaways to keep listeners entertained all day, everyday.
If on-air presenting isn’t your thing, why not consider becoming a daytime producer? Each show on URN will have its own show page which can be updated with blog posts, photos, videos and podcasts to keep your listeners up to date and entertained all the time!

Every night, 7 nights a week, URN brings you music from every angle of the musical spectrum. If you are passionate about a particular genre or just music in general then don't miss out on getting involved with URN After Dark. Play songs that you love, on air, from our outstanding brand new studios. After Dark does not just end there. Together, we bring our listeners interviews and live music from big and up and coming artists and broadcast from local music events. If this appeals to you then get in touch and join the After Dark team.
If you love music but don't fancy presenting then how about getting involved with our music team? We meet weekly, organise the station playlist and listen to loads of brand new music. If you want a say in what new music URN plays, then come join us. If you love music, URN After Dark is for you!
At URN we believe it is crucial to keep the station up-to-date and relevant to student life and the world beyond campus! ‘The Pulse’ is URN’s dedicated news team, broadcasting bulletins that run throughout the day, as well as an hour-long show that airs between 5 and 6pm Monday to Friday.
Getting involved with The Pulse is an amazing experience giving you the opportunity to write and read hourly bulletins, be a reporter; researching, reporting and discussing a story on air, interviewing those who are relevant to a story, collecting and editing sound clips for bulletins and reports, and learn and practice invaluable skills needed for Broadcast Journalism. If you think this is something you would be interested in then please get in touch. We look forward to hearing from you!
