Varsity Ice Hockey 2010 is the 6th Varsity match and looks like it maybe the best as Trent try and regain their honour after suffering a humiliating defeat last year, losing 6-1. However in the history of Ice Hockey Varsity, Trent dominates leading 4-1 with last year being Uni’s first victory!

The commentators say that Uni's attacking play is lacking and it is too easy for the Trent defence to move onto the attack in the early stages of the second period.

A question we had in was, "What is a Power Play?" A Power Play is where one team has more players on the pitch than the other because of a penalty called against the opposing team. We saw Trent score take advantage of this and Uni did not!

This evening is an exhibition game for the Varsity series as in the usual competition the two uni's are combined under the Nottingham Mavericks name! This is by no means a friendly affair as i am sure we will see shortly!
