Well it's been a great afternoon poolside, a fine win for Uni without letting Trent win a single event. 2-1 Uni in the series overall. Just as we finish, we find out that "friendly score-guy" is infact called Will. Great bloke. Well done Uni.

"An ideal win" in the words of Tom, our man in the pool and President of the Swimming Team.

And theres a fire-alarm, just as I praise Trent...can't we all just get along?

Credit to the Trent fans, they've given plenty of shout today; aided by airhorns and loudspeakers. A great day out by all accounts

Final score: 415-244 in favour of Uni!!!

Uni win as both teams jump into the pool to wrap up a fine day of swimming.

And remain about three quarters of a length ahead at the halfway stage. Domination.

Uni lead after the first 50 metres.

Simon; "Will Trent win a race?" They've only got one more shot. Men's 6x50 Squadron. Here we go.

"love the updates, great to hear we're giving trent a good beating! Jon and Ciara in cav". A great response from Cavendish hall today.

Only two teams; Uni and Trent, in these final races. Uni Girls pick up the win in theirs

I didn't see that bellyflop, but I sure heard it.

Onto the final event now, introduced with Pirates of the Caribbean booming out of the speakers; the 6x50 Squadron races. Can Uni wrap up a fine display in style?

The bloke in the Lionsuit is dancing with the Uni Cheerleaders. What a lad.

"Trent still haven't won a single race" our ever-friendly score-guy informs us.

The Men move up a gear again; a full podium for our Boys in their 100m Fly. "Don't Stop Believing" is played over the PA system and the crowd sings the first few lines, good effort!

And in the Female 100m Fy Uni picks up another one-two.

Another one, two, three for the Males in the 50m Free. Deja vu?

"Loving the updates guys, keep it coming! Go Uni! The boys from Cavendish". Cheers all!

A slightly bold boast from Simon; "We could sub the Sports Show team in and we'd still win!" I have my doubts, has he seen Tom Ryan recently?

The friendly score-guy in front of us gives us the scores; 149 point difference, 350 to 201. "Tight" he says, before slightly less sarcastically, "It's in the bag".

He confirms my assumption; "...No."

First, second and fourth for our Girls in the 50m Free. Have we lost an event yet? I'll send Simon to find out...

A slightly inappropriate text has come in regarding Alex Rust from "Ralph". Friendly banter, I'm sure!

Tom from our interview flies into the lead in the Men's 4x50m medley relay. Lets hope he doesn't hit his head on the wall like he did before (a story from the interview, not today, have no fear)!

Female 4X50m medley relay and the results are 1st and 3rd for the uni competitors.

If you have any thoughts on this afternoon's events give us a text!

Trent 143 - Uni 258

Not yet as uni get yet another 1,2,3 in the mens 50m breastroke

Yet another win for nottingham university in that event, can their dominance be stopped?

A loud bellyflop at the start of the female 50m breastroke

In the men's 100m backstroke Nottingham university get 1st 2nd and 3rd positions.

Now for the female 100m backstroke..... will nottingham trent win their first event? No uni grab the first and second spots

Scores: 115 trent - 202 uni

'and nottingham university win again' the announcer almost sighs, we're not complaining here poolside

Lanes 2 and 3 are neck and neck in the female 100m freestyle but lane 3 comes through for another uni victory by 0.14 of a second

Tom and Andy from our pre-event interview came 2nd and 3rd respectively in that last race.

Uni came 1st, 2nd and 4th in the female butterfly and 1st 2nd and 3rd in the male.

If anyone wants to text in just type your messge into the box above.

"Trent are rubbish!" says Hermione, a uni student

Male 100m breastroke - uni comes 1st 2nd and 4th! Nottingham university are really dominating.

Anybody wondering how the points system works : 6 points for first place and then it goes down in order of placing. Triple points for a relay.

Great atmosphere at the pool with an enthusiastic crowd, the varsity lion is even out to support!

First and second for uni in the female 100m breastroke

And the score so far read 119-72 in favour of Uni.

Recieved a tip-off in the Swimming interview the other night that Alex Rust is pretty nifty; he manages third place on an all Uni podium, in the Male 50 metres Back.

Uni are off to a flier today, in the Female 50 metres Back, Uni come first, third and fourth.

For all of you keeping track of things from home, Uni will use lanes 3, 5 and 7 throughout the afternoon; they must be lucky, the Men picking up another One-two in the 4x50 Free Relay.

In the Female 4x50 Free Relay, Uni get two more podium finishes with another win and third place.

We're sat behind a rather helpful guy with the collective scores, hopefully we can befriend him and get him to give us the total scores in a minute...

A One-two for Uni in the first race, followed by a second in the Men's. Great start.

And we're good to go. Female 100 metre IM coming up

...or not, technical difficulties ensue.

First event today is the Female 100 metre Individual Medley, here we go...

Hello Nottingham from Stephen and Simon at University Pool!
