Congratulations to all the Nottingham Uni Women's Rugby players, remember to stay tuned as we will be keeping you informed of all the action in the mens game at 7.45pm

A massive cheer goes up as Uni are presented with the trophy in reward for a hard fought but well deserved victory against a Trent side who haven't lost all year

And that's it, the final whistle goes and Uni celebrate a great victory. The final score Uni 14-5 Trent. Chants echo around the ground as Uni draw level in the CRY Varsity series.

76 minutes: Tense moments as we enter the last few minutes, Uni make another sub with Izzy Joris coming off for Lara Hogg, only four minutes stand between Uni and a levelling point in the Varsity series

73 minutes: The momentum shifts and now it's Trent who are pressing, Uni are forced into some desperate defending to prevent their opponents breaking the line

70 minutes: Just ten minutes left to play and Uni drive forward in search of the winning points

69 minutes: Another Uni substitution, this time Sarah Voss replaces Jessica Ainscough

66 minutes: Substitution for Uni, replacing Kayleigh Wyatt is Nicola Barnes, meanwhile one of the Trent players receives treatment for cramp on the pitch

63 minutes: Uni's fly-half and try scorer Izzy Joris returns to the pitch having received treatment, greeted warmly by the Uni supporters she is straight away called into action managing to intercept the ball and setting up an attack

59 minutes: Potentially a game winning tackle, and a definite try saving tackle from Uni fullback Emma Rice. Trent's fly-half Michaela Kurrigan breaks away and storms down the right wing, but is stopped from a huge hit by Rice mid-way inside the Uni 22

56 minutes: Big hit by Uni No.8 Jenn Clarkson on Trent's No.5, we enjoyed that up here in the executive suite

52 minutes: Good work from Uni's right-winger Maiyanne Ben-David forcing Trent into touch with a solid tackle, pushing them a good 10 yards back

50 minutes: Uni have managed to do just what Mr.Loyd was talking about. Taking the sting out of this game is their chief concern, and the missed conversion by Trent will certainly help Uni

Text in: "Big shout out 2 fitzgerald! lots of lenton x" Thanks for that text in. Good support it seems for Uni's first try scorer Katie Fitzgerald

Jamie Loyd, our rugby correspondant here at URN: "If Uni can weather the early second-half Trent storm, then this game is theirs for the taking. Having dominated the first half in the tight and the loose, a repeat of the first half would win them this game"

43 minutes: The Trent half time team talk has worked. They work the ball across the open-side from the break down, and a string of passes from quick ball result in a try in the corner. The conversion, a rather bizarre drop-kick misses. Uni 14-5 Trent

42 minutes: Trent penalty inside Uni's 22 which they choose to run. They need to mix things up a bit here. The Uni front line looks solid in defence and Trent are finding it hard to break the game-line and get over the try line

Here come the girls! Uni still choosing to wear their floral shirts. The 4-leaf clovers bringing them luck

Trent come out to inspect the pitch ahead of their 7:45 KO. With the odds stacked against them, can they pull off a surprise victory in the evening game? Cracking half-time entertainment watching them kick the ball around. Where are they cheerleaders I hear you ask? I don't know, is my answer, put simply.

Half-time. Uni go into the dressing room with their heads held high (nice alliteration for you there) and a 14-0 lead. Trent look down and out, and need a massive resurgence in the second half if they are to take anything from this game.

35 minutes: Uni 14- 0 Trent! Standing ovation for Uni fly-half Izzy Jaris. A few minutes ago we reported on her injury, but she has picked herself up and a darting, incisive run rips Trent's defensive line apart, scoring under the posts. Nicole converts, putting Uni in a dominant position with only 5 minutes before half- time

33 minutes: Uni have a penalty inside the Trent 22, just to the left of the posts. Looks like an easy 3 points for Johnny Wilkinson, but unfortunately he is not around, and so Uni's winger Gwen Nicole steps up, skewing her kick off target. The score remains 7-0 to Uni

31 minutes: Injury to Izzy Jaris Uni's number 10, the trainer comes on but she manages to run it off

28 minutes: much of the play being focussed in the middle as the game goes a bit stale, the trent mascot tries to liven things up by doing some acrobatics on the touchline, to a mixed reception

21 minutes: Uni reclaim the ball after some last ditch defending, but it turns back over to trent as they try and get back into the match

18 minutes: Trent urging their side on and it seems to be working, as they get a penalty inside Uni's 22 yard line

13 minutes: Uni break the game line and score the first try of the match, the option to run paying off. Converted, Uni 7-0 Trent

12 minutes: Penalty to Uni 8 yards from the try line, uni opt to run.

7 minutes: Trent mount an attack for the first time through a few Uni handling errors, and then they gain a penalty through Uni's fly half needlessly diving in over the top. Turnover Uni though and a penalty too allowing them to clear to the 10 metre line

3 minutes: Uni have taken the early initiative with constant pressure around the Trent 22-yard line. Trent, as yet, have failed to gain possession in the Uni half

And we are underway here at Meadow Lane. Uni kick off and have gained a very early penalty, opting to kick which pushes them into Trent's 22

Here come the teams and Uni are adorning exceptional green floral printed shirts. We can only assume it is for St Patrick's Day
